ADDITIONAL FEES FOR HUDSON RIVER PILOTS MAKING INTERMEDIATE CARGO STOPS, FUELING STOPS, OR STOPS TO TAKE ON WATER. If a vessel being piloted by a Hudson River pilot shall make a cargo stop, fueling stop or a stop to take on water at any intermediate port or place on the Hudson River, the pilot shall be entitled to an additional fee of $75.00 for a stop of 6 hours or less, $150.00 for a stop of more than 6 hours but not more than 12 hours, $200.00 for a stop of more than 12 hours but not more than 24 hours, and $300.00 for a stop of 24 hours.
FEE FOR HUDSON RIVER PILOT DETAINED ONBOARD VESSELS DUE TO ICE CONDITIONS. When a Hudson River Pilot is detained on board a vessel due to ice conditions, such pilot shall be entitled to a fee of $300.00 for each 24 hours or part thereof during which he shall be so detained. In the event the prevailing ice conditions require two pilots on board a vessel, the fee shall be the regular pilotage fee plus 50 percent of the regular pilotage fee for the second pilot.
FEE FOR SHIFTING AT HUDSON RIVER PORTS. When a Hudson River pilot is required to shift a vessel from on berth to another berth within the same port, he shall be entitled to a fee of 20 percent of the statutory rate for registered vessels.
ADDITIONAL ALLOWANCE FOR PILOT ASSISTING IN DOCKING AND UNDOCKING. ALL DOCKING / UNDOCKING FEES SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON SECTION 2 STATUTORY RATES. Whenever under permission granted by Section 54.4 of these regulations, a pilot shall assist in either the docking or the undocking of a vessel, the following, in addition to any fee otherwise established, shall apply: (a) Without the assistance of tugs or a bow thruster, 25 percent of the statutory rate for registered vessels
(b) Without the assistance of tugs but with the assistance of a bow thruster, 15 percent of the statutory rate for registered vessels
(c) With the assistance of a tug or tugs, 10 percent of the statutory rate for registered vessels
DELAY IN RENDERING SERVICES, DISMISSED WITHOUT RENDERING SERVICES, DETAINED ON BOARD, QUARANTINED, STANDING BY.
(a) In any case where the rendering of services is delayed for the convenience of the vessel, the pilot shall be entitled to $50.00 for each hour or part thereof. However, if the pilot's services are used within one hour, no charge will be incurred.
(b) In any case where a pilot on board a vessel is dismissed without rendered services, he shall be entitled to $150.00
(c) In any case where a pilot is detained on board a vessel awaiting a favorable tide, a berth or an anchorage; the fee shall be $50.00 an hour except where Section 96, Part 4 of the Navigation Law is applicable.
(d) A pilot detained on board a vessel on accunt of quarantinable disease shall be entitled to a fee of $50.00 an hour.
(e) When a pilot, for the convenience of the vessel for any reason, is ordered to stand by, the fee shall be $50.00 an hour for time on board but the minimum shall be $150.00.
VESSELS ARRIVING WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, LATE CANCELLATION OF ARRIVAL, ARRIVING LATE ON PILOT STATION, LATE ORDERING OF PILOT.
(a) Vessels which arrive at the pilot station without prior notice will be charged a fee of $250.00
(b) If the arrival of a vessel is cancelled less than six hours before its scheduled arrival time, there shall be a charge of $150.00.
(c) If a vessel arrives at the pilot station more than one hour later than its scheduled arrival time and the pilot boat on station or the pilot office has not been notified of the delayed arrival at least three hours before the scheduled arrival time, there shall be a charge of $50.00 for each hour or part thereof. The maximum charge shall be $300.00.
(d) If an order to pilot a vessel outbound is received less than three hours prior to sailing time, there shall be a charge of $100.00.
(e) All charges covered by this section shall be in addition to other fees prescribed by Navigation Law and these regulations.
